any Wednesday evening. You’ll be able to fill out all forms there.
EVERYONE is welcome!

Recreation, discipleship and Scripture memorization are key elements in AWANA. It focuses on instilling Bible truth in their hearts and minds while helping develop a Christ-central lifestyle as God’s word is applied daily to their lives.

Its goal is to “reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ, and to train them to serve Him.” While Scripture memory is a vital part to this program, it’s the hard-earned awards for Scripture memory and the exciting, wacky games that keep them coming back. With this new learned knowledge of God, a child can then understand his Creator and begin to serve Him.

Clubbers are divided into 3 groups:

There are 3 distinct times during the Awana night—council time, handbook time and game time.

Council time is when the clubbers learn about God and are shown practical application of the verses that they are learning.

Handbook time is a time not only to recite for their leader the verses that they have learned at home, but it is also a time for mentorship. This is when your child’s leader is able to be an example of Christ for your child, and encourage him to follow Him as well.

Game time is the most fun part of the night. The clubbers while playing organized games are given an opportunity to learn and practice good sportsmanship.

The entire Awana night is packed with fun, excitement, and lessons about God. Come join us!

What is Mission Friends?

Mission Friends is the preschool organization of WMU based at a local church, child care, weekday program, home, or preschool. It is designed for preschoolers, birth through kindergarten. Its main goal is to tpreschoolkids3each missions attitudes and concepts to all preschoolers.

In Mission Friends, preschoolers participate in developmentally and age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that help set the beginning stage for a missions lifestyle.

Preschoolers learn by doing. As they participate in activities that provide repetition, stir curiosity, create a sense of accomplishment, help develop relationships, encourage investigation, and use their senses, they learn to help others, work together, pray, give, and tell others about God's love and His Son, Jesus.

Through example, imitation, modeling, activities, stories, cultural items, prayer, patience, and love, Mission Friends learn missions attitudes and concepts and the foundations of faith.

Mission Friends has it’s own website! You can find out more information about the program by visiting that website at www.missionfriends.com. If you have questions about our program, you may contact Neal at 732-1300.
